VHD CMS uses streaming technology to deliver virtualized hard disk images to diskless workstations across a network. This allows centralized IT management and storage whilst delivering a full PC user experience to the users.Using virtualized hard disk streaming replaces the traditional method of booting an operating system from local disk. This is an innovative methodology for centralizing hard disks of client computers and delivering a choice of images on-demand.

Features
- Machine-Based Management
On booting, client computers are automatically detected and recognized using their unique MAC address. The computers will boot the single shared image automatically - no user user input required.
- Hardware Independence
VHD implements a unique hardware isolation methodology. This allows the single image to be booted from computers with different hardwares. This means an entire LAN of client computers can boot from a single image C regardless of the hardwares of the individual computers.
- Rapid Deployment
As soon as you have the hardware configuration installed to the image - the image is ready to be booted by all your computers.
- Ready Access
Adding a new computer to the system is as simple as adding it to the network. Once the computer is able to network boot the computer is ready for use. No installations nor setup required on the new computer!
- Always Ready
Once a user has finished with the computer they can simply shutdown. When the next user boots up the computer they are streamed an entirely fresh image C the system is always ready.
- Use of .vhd Images
VHD implements Microsofts virtual hard disk format .vhd which is safe and securte.
- Low Maintenance
Every time you reboot a computer it is given a refresed image, which eliminates all software problems.
